Simple To-Do?

Hi everyone  8)

Looking for recommendations for a simple to-do application if possible. It can be web-based but would need to have a desktop client if it is. The features I'm looking for are simply just reminders and simplicity. Free / Open-Source if possible!

As you can see it has uses beyond the usual agenda type stuff.

I use it to keep track of lots of things besides the usual...


* grocery lists
* projects
* party planning (it's really great for that)
