I use tumblr.com with my own domain name and host my downloads on http://my.cl.ly or DropBox

Good luck with your decision.

If it falls through at some point, I would recommend ASmallOrange (ASO)
Very good reputation for many years - I've had an account with them for a very long time now. Support levels & uptime both very high.

Thanks.  I'll keep it in mind.

While you're still shopping, look at Digital Ocean. It could fit the bill.

I'm into these guys for 3 months at this point.  I hope it works out.  They sent me an email with temp url etc that gets a 404.  I hope it's not a harbinger of doom.  My first support ticket is already on the way.  :)

I have to scout around and find a free WiFi that doesn't block ftp for when I upload.  Once the bugs are ironed out maybe I'll do one of those boilerplate template web designers.  I tried one out that actually didn't look too bad for $50.  The main gripe I have is that most of the ones I looked at convert your text to an image.  Paragraphs don't flow.  Kind of defeats the purpose of using a markup language.

We'll see how it goes.  :)
