For more, just put a bunch of the keywords of the discussion into google, and then see which forums have similar discussions.
The DC crew knows a lot of techie stuff, but not quite everything.

You'll need to determine what will work with UK Sky. But in the end if your existing connection gives you an ethernet socket, there's nothing to stop you from putting another router behind the existing one.
