IDEA: Dimmer?

(1/2) > >>

Malik:
Hi, everyone. this is my first visit in this forum and my first post.
My LG IPS monitor is too bright. I already set the brightness to lowest. but it still hurt my eyes.  :(
I've been looking for a software that dim the screen. from this to this.

such as Dimmer v1.0 and LeDimmer, both are good, but not good enough.
Dimmer v1.0 is buggy. sometimes it didn't Dim the active windows. (has option to configure the opacity)
LeDimmer just Dim the inactive windows. (no option to configure the opacity)

Would anyone make / create a software that Dim the background, inactive windows, and active windows ?
with configurable opacity for active and inactive windows.

Thank you.  :)

Please note that Skrommel no longer posts here, but others may be able to help you.

mouser:
Do the dimmer tools get you the result you want aside from being sometimes buggy?

Ath:
Maybe f.lux is a nice option in this situation?
It kind of takes the time of day/brightness of the sun outside into account:
f.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.
