Your favorite cartoons of yesterday and today?

<< < (6/10) > >>

To me "down under", a cartoon also includes single-picture (or a strip of several) with captions.  In that sense, my favourites, in order, are:

The Wizard of Id
Footrot Flats
Spy v Spy
Andy Capp

Heidi, a sweet young girl who lives/lived on Swiss Alps:,_Girl_of_the_Alps

Though I used to love watching cartoons, (and have probably forgotten most of them), Futurama would have to be about the only one I'd go out of my way to watch these days.

Now, if we're going to talk cartoonish in a marionette kind of way, anything by Gerry Andersonw.

Mr. Magoo, hasn't he been around like forever?

oh Magoo, you've done it again!

+1!

Especially fine was Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol with ol' Magoo playing it straight as Ebnezer Scrooge. One of the best adaptations of Dickens I've ever seen.

My favorites:

Heckle and Jeckle
Felix the Cat
Rocky and Bullwinkle / Factured Fairy Tails / Dudey Do-Right / Aesop & Son / Mister Peabody and Sherman
Tennessee Tuxedo
Huckleberry Hound
Yogi Bear and Bobo
Quick Draw McGraw
Deputy Dawg
Magilla Gorilla
Peter Potamus
Grape Ape
