Connector SAS
4wd:
If both the connector and drive support PCIe mode, (and correct key), then there shouldn't be a problem, I have a Crucial P1 500GB in my machine.
Be aware of the limited Write Endurance if you plan on shifting large amounts of data:
1TB drive: 200TB Total Bytes Written (TBW), approximately 109GB per day for 5 years
--- End quote ---
It's also Quad-Level Cell which means it's slower than TLC, (especially for large writes), and may wear out a bit faster, (hence the low TBW value), but is reasonably cheap.

Nice indeed. I will keep this information .

Contro:
I have bought two disks.
https://www.ebay.es/itm/332878771430?ViewItem=&item=332878771430
https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01CG0DCTC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I try to reassure the disk is good for asus z170k , but they send me to crucial and asus. so I prefer apply the 4wd criteria under my total responsability.
Best Regards
Note : I hope no problems sending to canary islands.....
sometimes I pay and then they tell me they can't send to tenerife.....
:-* :P
