Version 6 was launched less than a fortnight ago:

    Added "show/hide caption" caption button.
    Added separate option "Show menu caption" for torn off menus.
    Added hotspot near/far margins.
    Show/hide menu caption via context menu.


Fixed:

    Incorrect menu position on vertical toolbars.
    Toolbar size is calculated incorrectly.
    Toolbar width is too large for newly created toolbars on the taskbar.
    Incorrect menu items height in the preview window.
    Incorrect slide effect for menus with 3 columns.
    Right-arrow key is not working on the toolbar.
    Auto-load option is not working for menus more then first level.
    Torn Off menus are always on top on first open, even the "Always On Top" option is turned off.
    Icon Sizes were not saved.

For now, I've elected NOT to install under Win 7 (though I did update my XP install). I'm trying to go minimalist at the moment...

I have now been running 64-bit Win 7 for 4 months,
and I am so far merely at 141 installed programs!!

True Launch Bar is of course one of them.

True Launch Bar v6.1 released.

In the version 6.1 some bugs are fixed:

    Toolbars don't save position after restart on unlocked taskbar.
    Standalone TLB: Near/Far hotspot margins are not saved

True Launch Bar v6.5 released.

What's new:

    Glow color for highlighted items text.
    Hotkey support for the "rest items" button (the button with two arrows).
    View modes for the "rest items" menu.
    Hold down CTRL key to run some shortcuts without closing menu.
    "True transparency" for the standalone toolbar (toolbar is transparent, the icons/text are opaque).
    Skins for the Standalone True Launch Bar.
    The Standalone TLB now more similar to the taskbar (with the taskbar style).
    Some minor enhancements.

Fixed:

    Some icons are not loaded on windows restart.
    No selection for the toolbar buttons with the windows classic theme.
    It is possible to "lost" the Standalone TLB after "show desktop" windows action.
    Some minor bugs fixed

disclaimer: I often install True Launch Bar beta versions, and have never experienced anything dangerous with them.

True Launch Bar v6.6.5 beta is released.

What's new:

    Now it is possible to use True Launch Bar in portable mode.
    Added additional margins for menu items into Customize Menu dialog box.
    Improved conversion of the menu layout data (tlbdata.xml) into new format.
