The same, or at least comparable, feature would be nice for the 'all unread' list, where the icon is quite small, but I assume it's using the same icon :tellme:

I don't think he's talking about that icon. I believe he's referring to this one:
They do 2 different things.
The "new" icon takes you to the first unread post in the thread.
The icon you pointed out takes you to the last post in the thread.
