Trying to have vertical buttons on a vertical taskbar in winxp

I have my taskbar  on the left side of my screen. when I have a window open  the button is a small square on the taskbar. Is there a way to make the button vertical

I don't know about vertical, but you can have the buttons for open windows as horizontal bars by making your taskbar much wider and setting it to autohide, like I do.

Nice setup. I think I may have to go back to horizontal. lol maybe I can find a piece of freeware to help out. thanks :)

The only way I've ever seen something like that was in Litestep, and I can't remember which taskbar module it was that did that.  In actual practice, it is rather hard to read, even though the idea is solid.
