Yes.  If you donate you get a single key that works on all apps.
But the free license keys are specific to a specific program, so you have to download a different key for each program.

Money is tight everywhere but seeing as how one can name their donation amount... seems silly not to donate and be done with it.  8) IMO

I think the question from Josh though was more targeted than that- some people come to DC complaining about license keys not working for non-DC programs.  :-\
