Removing background and selecting scanner background color

Hi all.  I am having trouble getting the remove background feature working with my scanner.  I think I may be having trouble selecting the correct scanner background color.  It is white but once scanned has a greenish/greyish hue.  Or perhaps I'm missing something else.  Any ideas?

Hi connie, i'm so sorry about the delay in responding -- I thought I had replied to this but it must have been another similar question.
If you're still there, maybe you could take a screenshot of the scanner options page? Have you tried the option to automatically grab the scanner background color from the image?
