As for thie blank space, i think i see now -- it's not a blank space, it's showing as WHITE TEXT (not invisible but hard to see) on the button.  It's caused by the theme you've selected, but i'll try to fix it -- no reason it should be so hard to read.

I've reuploaded a new version of the beta to try to fix this and the folder node bug.  Let me know.
