Why is my Firefox searching for updates when aut. updating not is enabled?

Okay. If you don't block \Mozilla Firefox\updater.exe, perhaps you can inspect the activity via Show Update History menu or firewall log.

An old-locked thread in Mozillazine is similar to your case, OP has disable update but still saw Updater.Exe activities.

I don't know ... may be Mozilla forced you to upgrade.   :-\

Hi there,

As per me, don't look in firefox settings, you have to look for your PC settings.
There is an option in PC control panel. there is find auto update option.

-rubbish. Back then I was only thinking about scanning, but I didn't take the time to actually do it!  :-[
