LinkedIn "Intro" App Reroutes & Reads Your Email

I don’t subscribe to LinkedIn (though I receive "invitations" to join daily from them), but if I were ever considering it I am pretty sure this would the convincer to NOT subscribe.

According to this article at Bishop Fox the LinkedIn app for iOS7 reroutes all your email - IMAP and SMTP -through their own servers, with a whole lot of security concerns attached to that.
