I am looking for the websites of companies that have factories/plants (that produce or process pretty much anything) in the UK.

I already suggested Kompass UK to you in another, similar thread.  Their records contain links to the company Web sites.

I've seen UK manufacturers on Alibaba.com before. Check there for some. They have some decent filters for regions/countries.

yes, I saw it, it is very good
have you researched similar sites? is it the most extensive?
also the problem is I can't seem to find a way to filter results by country (I only need companies with UK presence)
