In general a bbphp forum howto would be great. I couldn't find it in their forum.
Thanks a lot

Err... no? :)

Why would someone want that? I just subscribe to the threads I find highly interesting and the forum sends me an email when there's a new reply.

mouser:
i monitor lots of forums with website watcher.

In general you just have to set the properties to use your normal web cookies - not need to do any advanced logging in (assuming you are normally recognized on the forum).

usually the only slightly tricky part is setting the strings to pay attention to and ignore in order to only detect new posts.

this can be done with the forum wizard (3 steps). This wizard will also create all required ignore/watch filters automatically.

As mouser said, it should be possible with your cookies. If you don't want to stay logged in permanently or if the forum doesn't support it, then you have to record a check-macro for the login...

Martin Aignesberger, one of my all-time favorite programmers! Thanks for the tip.
