From the B.F.D. Dept. - Microsoft releases first video preview of Win 8.1

Hmmm... just watched the video, and it seems the "All Apps" screen takes the place of the main menu, so that makes a little more sense now. My son has it on his new laptop, and he seamlessly flits between the start screen, the desktop, and whatever app he's on, while my head is left spinning.
He's 15, I'm 43... Yep, sounds about right. :-\
