Point Motivator Errors reading XML file

First, I'll thank you mouser -PM'creator  :up:!
I think that these errors

-"I cannot delete or modify entries?",
-"I get an error: could not be loaded by tinyxml lib - Error reading end tag" ...

are because we use non-english language for describe Item-Definitions!
I found: "XML Encoding" and "XML Syntax Rules"

For errors check here and edit your Item-Definitions-file:
XML-Validattor
or open in your browser.

Mouser, is this right? Can you do something to this?

I close PM, edit my Item-Definition-file by this way:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>

("XML Encoding" - The following encoding, will NOT give an error)


Open PM, and error (..could not be loaded by tinyxml lib - Error reading end tag) was gone  :)

Looks like you figured out something useful.

I will try to add code to Point Motivator to use the encoding field in saving xml files in future versions.

I have uploaded a beta version that saves files with the encoding set to UTF-16.

It's just the new exe, not a full setup file, so download and unzip and replace your existing exe.

This should let you edit and save the files without encountering the problem.
