DRAGING FILE OR BMP

I need HELP !!When  I DRAG FILE or BMP I get an image of the Tool Bars and not an image of what I have entered.  I am trying to create text for QSOTV screens.  I am using Windows 7.

What about when you use the file menu to save it as an image -- does it work ok then?
