is a program from 2010 really still 'new'?

I am aware that someone is thinking the below quoted line may attract some new visitor's attention because it is indicating that coders are around. But really? I am embarrassed every time my eyes caches the line! If I go to a site and notice a headline hasn't been updated for almost 3 years, I am already about to leave that site!

Sites often get these little chores that sorta slip by for ages. the main board "scraper" that collects the recent posts makes it obvious there's activity going on. I find it funny, not a reason to ditch the site.
Curt:
funny? No!

Just to let you know...Mouser has changed the wording on these as a quick fix...
