Ok the very early alpha downloads are:

* Or portable version: https://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/esr/downloads/EasyScreencastRecorderPortable.zip
Note this is just an early alpha, it's going to be improving frequently and is not yet very useful or easy to use.
The biggest glaring weakness of the current version is that the compression settings are hard to configure and some do not work well, so it's hard to get it set up for recording good quality small files.

* Easier and more foolproof configuration of format and compression options to yield small high quality files suitable for use or sharing.
* Integration into Screenshot Captor.

ARGH! My suppositions were correct... but mouser cheated! He abbreviated it ESR!
