Feature Request - Start as a service
« on: September 11, 2012, 01:51 PM »
The topic title pretty much describes the request but here is why:

Everytime I start the computer I get the annoying UAC warning. I know that you can disable it but that is globally for all programs.

Assuming Windows Vista or 7, you can add a Scheduled task (wizard in Control Panel/Administrative tools) to run at Log on, and specify the program to run. That should avoid the daily UAC prompt.

Other possible approaches:

SuRun...  Super User Run - free

Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) - free; this has been used to run PowerPro in Win7, for example

Run As Admin Controller, RAAC: Start Programs with Full Administrative Privileges - cheap payware
