URL-Run
« on: May 10, 2012, 01:50 PM »
URL-Run allows you to run a LOCAL application using a normal HTML link (with some adjustments). This is useful for kiosks, library systems and other uses. Programs CANNOT be run from across a network. The only way is the user needs to click on a link to run the app and URL-Run must be installed on the local system. There is a warning message that shows when an application is about to be run (this can be disabled in the registered version to allow for uninterrupted running of apps). A working knowledge of HTML is needed to use URL-Run. I first made it back in the days when there was Active Desktop (remember that?) so a cool web page could be made as the user's desktop and have a nice new type of launcher. I decided to release it because it was just sitting on my external drive collecting dust.
