Single files and multiple folders I can do.  Patterns...well, depends what type of pattern you're looking for.

I might add in a search subdirectories option too.

Yep: Subdirectories seems obvious (but I didn't think of it ;) )

Patterns:

* *.jpg, *.png
* gps*.jpg

So, simple wildcard support would be acceptable?

Also: currently the GUI folder selection button only loads *.jpg and *.jpeg.  From what I can see, PNG files don't have provisions for Exif data, and I haven't tested with TIFF files.

Well... according to ExifTool, there are heaps of file formats that have metatags, not all are very useful for this purpose though...
