in ati's similar tray icon, you go to advanced video settings for the ati graphics card and there is a checkbox somewhere in there.

If you simply don't want to see it then...


• Open the Taskbar properties (right click on Taskbar)



• Edit icon visibility - set to always hide



...then it will continue to function, but not irk you.

mouser i've found the option (see pic) but the problem is still recurrent.. the icon appears even though i have set it to not appear in the tray.. :mad:



btw, thanks Ampa but i want to disable it outright because i don't use the features.. anyone there with a nVidia card and having this problem?

I think there is a nVidia service that you need to set to disabled and stop.  Try that, then reboot and see if the icon reappears.
