Tuxman, check out the link I posted for Micah's stuff. He has userscript versions, too.

Chrome extensions are seldomly more than compiled user scripts because Chrome is not capable of doing really serious things ...  :P

I am not sure if it is a good idea to add a bunch of user scripts for Google+ while its interface is constantly changing.

Micah has been down this road before with Friendfeed, Twitter, and Facebook. He stays on top of his stuff and updates when necessary. He is very good about maintaining his scripts.

A plugin that filters in and out specific keywords that you can customize in the options screen -- nice for the kids or for checking in at work. It also remembers the filtered posts that are accessible in the popup from the icon appearing next to the wrench button. (Make sure to select auto-refresh.)
