I want to run a virus scan any time a mass storage device is attached to one of my home computers. What I want is for the device to be locked down from being used until this virus scan completes. I currently am an avast user, is there any way to configure avast or any other program to do this?

I know that USB Safely Remove (payware) has options to do that on insert of an USB device, configurable per device.
And USBDLM (Free for private and educational use) can do something similar, but is a little bit harder to (manually) configure.

Thanks, Ath! I'll look into both options!
