$29.99, a very good price. I Doubt if there will be any better.
Probably cause w8 is coming, but nevertheless, with a .edu address,
you can get this deal.

following the links-

Looking through the FAQ, US, Canada and UK are eligible.
As well as ways to get it without a .edu address if your school does not provide it.
Plus there is a listing of schools as well, which may help.

Carol Haynes:
Hmmm - strange conversion rate:

US - $29.99

Canada - $39.99 (English and French price - not clear if this is US$ or CAD) = $42 US (if in CAD)

UK - £79.99 = $132.31 US

Australia - $119 (not clear if US$ or AUS$) If AUS$ then equivalent to $128US

France - 35 Euro = $51.32 US

So which country is the rip off version? You guessed it!

What is particularly gauling (no pun intended, honest) is that the EU is supposed to be a single market so why is the UK version $80 more expensive than the French?

More interesting is the discount price for Microsoft Office 2010 Pro for Students - UK under £50 ($80 for US students) which is a pretty good deal if you need the works.

cmpm:
Sorry Carol, I didn't know all that.
Prices should not be so different for different countries.
Heck, it's just a dvd to mail.

mediaguycouk:
The British price is strange. The American version stays quite constant during the year, but the british goes down to £29.99 between about September and November and then returns to £79.99 for the rest of the year.

Just out of curiosity, isn't gauling spelled "galling"? Or is that just in America?  :)
