Need Help for my AZERTY keyboard

<< < (2/3) > >>

skwire:
Try this:  http://skwire.dcmembers.com/apps/snacks/UrielAccents.zip

Run the UrielAccents.exe and type the following hotstrings to get your accented characters.  The first character is a backtick, not an apostrophe.  The backtick key is to the left of the "1" key on an English keyboard.

* `a for á
* `i for í
* `o for ó
* `u for ú
* `A for Á
* `I for Í
* `O for Ó
* `U for Ú
If you'd rather have a quick, popup menu to choose from instead, I can do that, too.

Uriel:
Oh God Thanks Skwire!      but  :(

I go to explain a little more: my computer is a French laptop (keyboad AZERTY)
and i use it for to write French and Portuguese and in Portuguese you have many accents in the 2 directions.

here is the keyboard:

²1234567890°+           ²&é"'(-è_çà)=
AZERTYUIOP¨£             azertyuiop^$
QSDFGHJKLM%µ            qsdfghjklmù*
<WXCVBN?./§              <wxcvbn,;:!

with shift                    without

what i was wanting just for general writing, because in word  and other good writing software i always find a way .

(for example, here in firefox, i use a spell check and the spellchecker  corrects for me, but i have to select every word...)

i cant use your soft because i use letters with the " ` "..

Thanks again... dont worry :),

best regards
U.

Maybe AllChars, or maybe just the Windows Character Map?  I generally use Extended Character Map by Sony Arianto Kurniawan.  The original page seems to have disappeared from the Web, but it looks like you can download a copy via an old Pricelessware page here.  Failing those, maybe you could use a clipboard enhancer like mouser's own Clipboard Help+Spell here at DC, or, ArsClip, both freeware.  Enter the accented letters you need in Word or something once each, copy them to the clipboard one by one, and make each of them a permanent clip.

The PolyEdit word processor, single-user price $27.95, has a character map built in:
# Complex script support (Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, etc.)
[...]
# Built-in character map with support for Unicode symbols and HTML equivalents
--- End quote ---

Which combination can you use?  Or, like I mentioned, I can make this a simple popup menu.

Uriel:
