What Android Apps Do You Use?
rgdot:
Thanks cyberdiva and Deozaan, and I am also leaning strongly to doing same
4wd:
Turned off app update notifications and just have it set to Auto-update over Wi-Fi only and let it get on with it. A couple of apps I have auto-update disabled for so I can see what's going to happen.
Some new apps:
Notion Intelligent Email - created by the same people who did Copy
SD Maid - System cleaner
GPS Logger - GPS track logger, GPX export
TrackChecker - Parcel tracking
Yandex.key - OTP logins to Yandex + 2FA
SoundHound Infinity - Music Search (Was App of the Week for 0.20 at some point)
Tasker - Automation (Was App of the Week for 0.20 at some point)
Xposed - with the following modules
Amplify
Hide Emergency Button
MaxLock
Power Nap
anandcoral:
I've disabled automatic updates on my device. I usually just click "Update All" once a month and ignore any prompts about app updates until the next time I'm ready to update them.

Except for international apps, all mine are in Danish and/or for Denmark; apps for paying wherever I shop, or for using public transportation, communicating with public offices, making reservations at the doctor's or the cinema, etcetera (the smart phone is very integrated into/with the Danish society). To the frustration of my friends, I do not use my smart phone for Messenger, Internet browser, facebook, YouTube, camera, email, you name it, I hate it, ...! However, I do use the included phone!
But there is an obscure application from Ashampoo, that I would like to recommend: Droid Optimizer.

While I was hurtling around Ukraine recently had a bit of fun with sending my realtime location to a couple of friends using Glimpse.
Glympse is a fast, free and simple way to share your real-time location using GPS tracking, with any of your family, friends or co-workers!
