I think ES File Explorer may have FTP client support -- I haven't been using the FTP support though. Did you happen to try it out?
On random occasions, I also use:

It has FTP support but I prefer dedicated FTP clients...

Anyone found a useful ebook reader? I ask because I am disappointed with Aldiko and other choices I've found. I'd like a reader that reads more than one or two formats; I don't want five or six apps where one would suffice. My most used formats are pdf, txt, epub, and mobi.

I don't know of a good reader that supports all of those (tending to read pdfs with one set of apps and epub with another set). Certainly would be interested in one though :)
