foreigners -> Privacy to privacy

(1/1)

skyrl:
To let snooper autodetect the right adaptater:

Enter privacy without caps instead of Privacy in advanced mode, into field "auto detect Adapter string to look for"
On the google page 'Privacy' default keyword is not translated the same depending on your ip geoloc
However, privacy without caps do the work cause its coded in a url

mouser:
Thanks for that info skyrl! i will update the normal release.

For those that don't understand:

The way the UrlSnooper does automatic network adapter detection is that it opens an online website while it is sniffing pages, and if it finds some text it expects on a page, it knows it can sniff from that adapter.  By default UrlSnooper opens the google privacy page and looks for the string "Privacy"; skyrl is saying that for different countries this string is translated, so use one that is in a url and won't get translated.

Furty:
In Germany, when trying to open google.com the German version google.com/de appears.
Writing "privacy" in lower case did not work for me, but adding "/en" to the "Auto Detect Adapter Test URL".
It would be really nice, if you could use this string by default in the next update.

mouser:
Thanks very much for the report Furty, I didn't realize that was happening -- might explain why some people have trouble with automatic adapter detection!
Will change in the next update  :up:
