New. Version 1.0.  http://www.iresizer.com/  Both a normal resizer AND a modern competitor to the "old" Retarget / Liquid Resize, (content-aware "seam carving"), etcetera.

Edited: I should tell that I now have tested the program, and I was so excited with the retargeted result, that I purchased a license right away. (But of course, if you know how many programs I have a license for, this might not tell you anything!) The program looks like a copy of Inpaint 3 and works the exact same way. It is VERY easy to use, and the result is [Edited:] can sometimes be excellent. Edited: okay, I was lucky the first time!

We are glad to present our new software, iResizer, it is a new intelligent image resize tool.

iResizer scale an image without changing important visual content such as people, buildings, animals, etc. While normal resizing affects all pixels uniformly when scaling an image, iResizer resizing mostly affects pixels in areas that do not have important visual content.

iResizer lets you shrinking or enlarging images to improve a composition, fit a layout, or change the orientation.

iResizer is a handy way to resizing images non uniformly while preserving the key features of the picture. iResizer avoiding distortion of the important parts of the image. It also can be used to remove portion ot the image in a consistent way. For example, you can turn a landscape picture into a square picture and close up the space between people in a image if they are a long way apart. It also works in reverse and you can use it to make an photo larger.

now fully worth the price.

cyberdiva:
Thanks, Curt, for the heads-up about GAOTD.  I like InPaint and decided to take advantage of the offer for iResizer.  At this price, I can afford it.  :)

sajman99:
Curt, iResizer looks like an interesting app. Thanks for telling.

Curt:
I need to tell that only my first attempt went well - in fact it was perfect. Every other attempt, ten or so, gave a useless result.

Edited:
Sorry, I said that wrong. You can get fine results from iResizer unless you change the height... (or width, depending on motive and original dimensions). But don't think this program can resize when resizing..., if you know what I mean. 3000x2000  iresized into 1500x2000 gave a fine result, as reported, but the very same original iresized into 1200 x1600 gave a terrible result.
