Free simple database progam needed (that can import from Works DB ideally)
Carol Haynes:
Thanks but he doesn't have Access and as I said I can covert to Excel via CSV - trouble is he doesn't want to use Excel - too complicated!
skwire:
How simple of a database app is your friend looking for? Maybe my Snap DB app could be of some use? FWIW, it can easily import CSV files.
NigelH:
How about export from Works to format OpenOffice Base can read.
I think dBase (.dbf) will work.
Carol Haynes:
Thanks - SnapDB looks nice and simple and the sort of thing he needs. I have also mentioned OO Base - but to be honest for what he is doing I thing Excel would probably be better than OO (which is a bit overkill given that he already has the home version of Office 2010 installed).
wraith808:
I found 2 different ways to get his works database into something that would be more usable.

Sorry... I guess I wasn't specific enough. I was just saying that you could convert to another format, and then use another db program rather than looking for a works compatible db program, i.e. snapdb or something similar.
