Neato, thanks, and on that note please see below for a minor but recommended update that I had planned for today.
RECOMMENDED UPDATE:
1. Improved the check for updates dialog code.
2. Optimized how the built-in charts work.

1. Made the color chart double buffered which should help decrease loading time for color charts (even more with large ones).
2. Improved the load settings function.

I just wanted to give my thanks (just what I was looking for), and a minor suggestion/bugreport/whatnot..
At the moment it crashes if placed as a subfolder of "program files" (or in my case "program files (x86)" unless the security restrictions of that
folder is lifted (i.e given write access) because it wants to store settings.dat in the program folder.
After a crash it is tagged in appcompat with "disableuserexceptions".
I'm using W7x64.
Removing it from the appcompat list, giving it write permissions, then it runs ok.
