libcurl download error

I just downloaded this for the first time to keep my programs up to date, and I ran into this problem
When I click Check Now, I get "get version failed" for both programs (DC Updater and ScreenShotCaptor).
The tmp files it is downloading show up as 0 kB files in the directory noted in the logs below. (I replaced my username with [hidden])

Hi Tony.

It looks like it's having trouble connecting to the website via the internet.
Possible reasons:

* Your internet connection is down for everything (but the fact that you can visit this web page makes that unlikely).
* You have a firewall blocking DcUpdater from connecting to the website (fix: unblock the program in your firewall).
* You are behind a proxy of some sort, which is configured for your web browser but not DcUpdater (fix: set proxy settings in DcUpdater options).
Do any of those seem plausible?

I forgot to add, as you recommended.
I could access other websites (network was OK) plus the log showed it could get to donationcoder.com:80
I turned off the firewall completely.
I entered my proxy name and password. Maybe I didn't have the right proxy location.
Is there any other way to know if that is the reason, or if there is something else.

Ok so you do use a proxy for normal web browsing?
The proxy feature of DcUpdater *should* work, but honestly im not sure how to test it or if anyone else using a proxy has had any trouble.

I've a proxy here, and after setting the DCUpdater parameters correctly, it works just fine :up:
