I know next to nothing about Slayer, but figured it out from this line:
Best Judas Priest song = Diamonds & Rust

Diamonds & Rust is a Joan Baez song.
So I presumed that "Dissident Aggressor" is a Judas Priest song.
So the challenge (from a musical POV) is to find a cover that Baez sang well, the author of same song having in turn sang a cover, who's author sang a cover, who's author sang a cover, ad infinitum. But I'm not a big fan of Baez, so there it lies. 40hz would be the man for this, he seems to be a walking encyclopedia about music - and everything else too when I think about it :-)

Renegade:
^^ Slayer covered Judas Priest's "Dissident Aggressor" off of the album "Sin After Sin". On "Sin After Sin", Judas Priest covered Joan Baez's "Diamonds & Rust" off of the album "Diamonds & Rust".

She's actually got quite a few covers on that album.

...
PUZZLE #1

For the coders & programmers out there, create a recursive version of the above riddle.

If the thread ever gets to 'Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower' it gets recursive.

In the booklet accompanying his Biograph album, Dylan said: "I liked Jimi Hendrix's record of this and ever since he died I've been doing it that way... Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it's a tribute to him in some kind of way."

I guess that's a tip (maybe it *has* to be from that album?) - here for anyone willing to give it a go:

    "Diamonds & Rust" (Joan Baez)
    "Fountain of Sorrow" (Jackson Browne)
"Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer" (Stevie Wonder, Syreeta Wright)
"Children and All That Jazz" (Joan Baez)
"Simple Twist of Fate" (Bob Dylan)
    "Blue Sky" (Dickey Betts)
    "Hello in There" (John Prine)
    "Jesse" (Janis Ian)
"Winds of the Old Days" (Joan Baez)
"Dida" (Joan Baez) – duet with Joni Mitchell
Medley: "I Dream of Jeannie" (Stephen Foster) / "Danny Boy"[4] (Frederick Weatherly)
