Results of several searches in one window
« on: September 06, 2010, 09:35 AM »
Hi!
Do you think it's possible to have an alias for doing a multiple search and having the results in just one window?
For example, I wan't to search a word in each of the websites listed in the "define" alias. Is there a way of doing the search automatically in all the listed sites and have the results showed in one window? A bit like in GooglePlus, but with defined sites.
It would be really great!

Thanks

Guillaume

i guess there are two possible answers.

first, you can ask farr to open ALL of the results listed by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Enter.  if the results are websites, most modern browsers will run each different browser request in a different tab.  so that's kind of what you want.

second, it sounds like what you would prefer might be a web service that could run multiple searches and show them on one page.. maybe someone knows a website that can do that?

Hi mouser,

Ya, that's it. For example, something like search results in Google, but only with defined sites.
