I should really stop using that term. I have a bad habit of using phrases in forums and emails that would just imply gentle levity if heard with my tone of voice, but if read by a bad-tempered recipient without the context of timbre, are enough to trigger a serious hissy fit.
I refer, of course, to the infamous "does Brenda need to be cattle-prodded" incident of last year :D
