You might consider for this purpose Readability (http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/ ), which is the best bookmarklet ever, automatically reformatting the page and getting rid of the crappy ads and navigation while magically figuring out what stuff it should keep.

Also, the Firefox extension Aardvark (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4111 ) allows you to selectively edit a page, including removing elements and stripping out width restrictions.

came across this elsewhere and wanted to post about it but found it here - it really is super to tidy up a page and make it readable/printable :up:
