Thank you all of you, how do i make the tinyEV work im a bit puzzled, i put it in the plugin folder (the zip file  FARR_TinyEv-0.9.5.zip) then what??-ron101 (November 27, 2009, 06:55 AM)

first make sure that 'Everything.exe' is already running in the background. then extract the zip into Farr's plugin folder. e.g. on my PC, it is like this: C:\Program Files\DonationCoder\Farr\Plugins. after that, just restart Farr and TinyEv would be available.

there seems to be two everything plugins(?) - the thread lanux links to seems to be more active-tomos (November 27, 2009, 02:23 AM)

TinyEv is newer and as its name shows, is 'tinier' and uses less resources. :)

XYplorer doesn't index files for searching, but its real-time file search is amazingly fast. I'm told this file manager started out as a search tool--and I believe it! 8)

The newest Index Your Files (version 5) also deserves a mention. I'm not suggesting it's better than Everything or Locate32, but I like that it's portable and can display/view media files in its built-in viewer.

Wow, Index Your Files (IYF) wasn't updated in so long (2 years) I had pretty much forgotten about it. Lately IYF has been updated every few days.

Latest version 5.0.0.7 reportedly indexes FAT, FAT32, NTFS, Linux and Network. 8)
