i'm using WinXP that's why i can't use switcher2. anyway, i actually use this Alt-Tab replacement, also coded in Autohotkey. :)

If you can live without the icons try Alt-Esc for cycling between applications (and Alt-Shift-Esc for cycling backward).

(Sorry for mentioning this, but I know from my experience that people are often completely amazed with this "unknown" shortcut, built in Windows for ages.)
