Feature Request: Copy Code
« on: April 29, 2009, 04:20 AM »
Maybe it's been here around, this question but still:
Maybe at this code input thing, there could be a thing when you click it it selects all the code inside it?

I guess you Coeluh are after something like they have at the AHK forums where they have the option to expand the code input window to show the full text of a multilined code.
I actually thought they did have an option at one stage to copy that code to the clipboard at AHK but it may have been on another sites forum.

I don't think it would be impossible just to have an input window that has code to include the options to (a) expand-collapse (b)copy to clipboard

The initial posting would only show one or two lines of code to save message space.
The benefit would be when there are updates amendments to the code with repetitive showing the original then the amended it will not obtrusive to the non interested.

good ideas.  how about 2 buttons at top of highlighted code.
1. copy all code to clipboard
2. expand code box to show entire code

Those would be a nice convenience!

it seems like they did had the 'copy code' feature but it wasn't working on all browsers (such as Firefox) and the idea is pretty useful.

I had the feeling it used to be there but I did a quick check before my original posting and to my surprise it wasn't there.

Thanks Mouser if you can implement those improvements I don't think the copy code feature will be much trouble here between browsers here as the AHK site is full on copy and re-posting code .
As long as you can implement it for Chrome I'll be happy

Sure that's cool. I bet there are tons of scripts for SMF, sure you can find one :)

Actually, it's not the browser type...the copy-to-clipboard feature on the AHK forums doesn't work with Flash 10.

this request is quite beneficial and it enhances the the forums' usefulness if it was to be implemented.
