Installation problem: does not install...
« on: February 12, 2009, 04:13 AM »
Windows XP Pro
GData Security Center 2009 (including firewall)

Hi,

I have been installing and deinstalling URL snooper several times but the result is always the same:
If I click on the URL snlopper in the Start-menu it says "Welcome to the self-extrating installer".
If  I do reinstall it, it does the process up to the point where it gives me error message 32, telling
me, that there is a file that is in use by some other process. Is URL snooper running already?
Actually not. What can I do?

Thank you,

The problem has been solved. For those who have the same one, here is how it worked for me:

1. deinstall software including cleaning registry
2. restart windows
3. install URL snooper
4. during the installation URLsnooper.exe is in the windows-task-manager. Process has to be finished manually!
5. finish installation of URLsnooper
