Aha!  I just saw something about this on LifeHacker, and I now see the problem:

You have to type in "about kitchensink" (without the quotes, of course), not "about:kitchensink".

Whomever else was having trouble with this, try it with just a space between "about" and "kitchensink". Worked for me then!
