Idea: Auto-log all Ctrl-C (copy) into a "diary"
« on: October 06, 2005, 08:08 AM »
How about a simple text file that posts each Ctrl-C copy command into the top of the file and just pushes down all previous so that the entries are in reverse order (thus latest easiest to find), ideally with date and time preceding each entry?

The file contents can be deleted as space requirements dictate (but an awful lot of entries would not take up much space). The location of the file needs to be easily determined for this purpose (desktop?)

:-\ It seems there are quite a few freeware tools out there that do this already.

Personally, I like Clipboard Recorder best.
I don’t know if it saves the clipboard history to file, though...

Don't forget mouser's CHS (on this site)... it stores all clips in a database for fast pasting/archiving.
