Possible to Restore Session with a FARR alias?

(1/1)

omaedon:
I was just wondering if it is possible to create a FARR alias that would re-open the last programs and files I was working on after rebooting.

For example, if I had MS Word open with a specific document, firefox open to a few websites, and a few folders open, I would want to save the state of all these open programs with one alias. Then I could reboot, run a second alias, and restore word, firefox, and my folders.

Even if this isn't possible with all programs, it would be convenient for it to work with just open folders, at least in my case. Thanks in advance.

It might be what you want

That app looks pretty swell. Thanks for the tip!

you can also try SmartClose which i think has been mentioned before in the forums.

SmartClose is a free program that will automate the process of closing all running programs. It can also save the state of the system to a system snapshot, so all the programs that have been closed can be easily restarted later by SmartClose.-website

Among those elusive programs whose time has come, I would put this one prominently: a more intuitive -- as in one-click -- way of restoring a Windows session without having to resource to hibernate.
