The Great Software List.. For Linux
mwang:
Maybe you would consider adding Beyond Compare 3 to the list, another great sync'er now with Linux support, and not a beta.

Would I be using it if it didn't? :P
Although I keep a Windows machine, I can't honestly recommend software I don't use every day. But there are so many good 'software list' sites out there, that they'll carry the ball better than I could!
zridling:
Holy crap, I will add Beyond Compare 3, mwang. I appreciate it!
Veign:
Another idea for The Great Software List is a OS independent version which highlights online applications. Just a thought as I feel more and more applications will move online, especially when offline data synchronizers (like Google Gears) becomes easier to develop for and more widely used.

AHHH!! You're killing me here, Zaine! Every time you commit more to Linux you tempt me to try it out. Oh, my wonderful Windows software...what will I do without it?? You know, I'm still trying to put together my "Superior Software List" on my website (tongue in cheek to your list), but now that you've gone totally Linux, I guess my list will stand alone.
You know, I haven't gotten a new machine for over 7 years now. I'll probably have to get one soon. Is it time to give Linux a shot? But I'm going to be so busy...I can just see the transition taking me forever as I try to figure everything out.
You're killing me here, bro. Just know that!
