how to unblock FARR in Vista

(1/2) > >>

cedardoc:
Whenever I try to run FARR, UAC comes up and says "an unidentified program wants access to your computer".  In windows defender it says "not yet classified" and it is not digitally signed.

Other than turning off UAC, is there a way to get it to run on startup, i.e. any way to "unblock" FARR permanently (right now I have to start it up manually each time I reboot)

Thanks,

Dave Parker

That is precisely the reason that got me to disable UAC (even though it was with one of my ahk scripts and nor farr). It makes absolutelly no sense not to be able to set some kind of "please don't bug me with this again" kind of setting.
If anyone knows a solution for this, i'd really like to know it to.

I believe if you right click the executable and say run as administrator or something like that it will then ignore UAC.

Here are a couple of articles on how to live with UAC.

I think i misunderstood the first post. I understood it referred only to startup (where you can't use "run as administrator" afaik), and on a second read this might be something else.

cedardoc:
yes I was referring to startup, and Thank you wraith808 for the links - The one about the Task Scheduler worked great.
