Simple web database to keep track of camping sites for Boy Scouts?

(1/1)

cnbingham:
Folks,
I'm looking for a simple web interface/database to keep track of camping sites for Boy Scout troops (and others if interested) in New England (USA).  Ideally it would be one that people could log into in order to make their own contributions, rate the sites, etc.

I found one online site that was awfully cool although way overkill, and apparently no longer supported athttp://campingpilot.com/home.php3.

I imagine there may be 20-30 people at the most who update it, a couple hundred people who view it with any frequency, and maybe 100 records.

For each campsite I'd like to keep track of location, contact info, website (if available), capacity, facilities (ie. tents, adirondacks, cabins, drinking water, dining hall), fees, and user comments for each.

Is there some piece of software that could be easily adapted to this purpose?  Is there a site like this that already exists?

Thanx tons,
Curtis

Link directory software that allows custom fields.
But it would require some customization, mainly for templates.

Both have free and paid versions.

One of the coders on this site (hamradio) works a lot with boyscouts -- hopefully we will come by and post.
